Science Department

The Science Department at Port Richmond High School is here to help students grow and learn through scientific observation, identification, description and experimental investigation.  Application of these principles are presented in our science classes such as Living Environment, Chemistry, Physics, Earth Science, Forensics, Marine Science, A.P. Biology and A.P. Physics.  We stress the importance of critical thinking by using observations, comparisons, experimentation and manipulation of mathematical data.  Science faculty are fully committed to the belief that science has a practical application in each of our lives and the necessity to understand what is going on around us.  It is through inquiry that we are able to present these classes as an interdisciplinary study that is applicable to life.
