The Collegiate Academy Honors Program is a rigorous program for academically gifted students with a focus in the humanities. Students should achieve a Level 4 or a high Level 3 on the Citywide Examinations in English and Mathematics. Students may take advantage of Advanced Placement and Honors courses from 9th—12th grade. Newsweek magazine has repeatedly listed our AP program as one of the top in the nation. CA students also collaborate with universities on enrichment programs and are typically very involved in the extracurricular life of the school. Students participate in an enrichment program, Y Scholars, funded by the YMCA of Greater New York. Y Scholars is a college access and career development program that focuses on the academic, social, emotional, and professional growth of each student. Students enjoy a free membership to the YMCA Branch.
