Port Richmond High School’s Culinary Arts program is an academically rigorous four year program in which our students explore the culinary arts and prepare for college. Our partnerships with organizations such as C-CAP (Careers through Culinary Arts) and Pro Start, the curriculum for the New York State Restaurant Association, allow us to offer our students various opportunities to visit colleges and culinary schools; in addition, our students participate in internships and job shadowing in world class restaurants, such as Jean George, in an endeavor to prepare them for possible careers in the culinary arts. Our program also offers students many opportunities to give back to the school and to our community through working in our student run Raider Café. Through competitions, our students have been awarded full scholarships to prestigious colleges and culinary schools such as the Culinary Institute of America, the French Culinary Institute, New York City Tech, and Monroe College.
