Mrs. Walters began her career in education in 2002. She is committed to empowering youth to make healthy and safe choices that will enhance the overall health and well-being of themselves and others. Mrs. Walters received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from Hope College and a Master's Degree from Touro College in School Leadership. Additionally, Mrs. Walters has received training by the NYC Department of Education Office of School Wellness Program as a CAP (Condom Availability Program) provider. She has also been trained through the NYCDOE’s Out for SAFE Schools Program to maintain Safe Spaces for LGBTQ+ youth. She serves as the GSA advisor and the Student Wellness Council teacher.
