Become a part of the Lady Raiders Indoor Track Team!  All are welcome – we need runners, jumpers and throwers!  We will meet at 3:30 pm in front of Gym 2!

Attention Raiders.  You are all invited to our free holiday movie series beginning tomorrow at 3:00 pm in the Auditorium with Home Alone.  Bring a snack, and we hope to see you there.

Congratulations to the boys’ junior varsity and varsity basketball teams for their wins over Tottenville High School this past Friday.  The JV Raiders won by a score of 53 - 49 and were lead by Ricky Tuggle who had a game high 23 points.  The big man in the middle Iggy Izevbuwa contributed 20 points in the victory.  The varsity won 58 - 56 and were led by Mike Oladitan who scored 15 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.  Jafar Yahuza chipped in with 14 points.  Jaheim Coleman and Max Dylan butler were great on the defensive end with each grabbing 6 steals in the victory.    Go Raiders!!!!!!!

Attention all staff.  The holiday door decorating contest is now in full effect.  It is a great time had by all.  We would love to see the school look festive as we welcome parents and families this weekend for conferences.  Be sure to assemble student teams who you may give community service to for decorating your doors during their lunch periods and or any free time.  Prizes will be awarded and judging will take place next Monday!  Good luck and lets deck the halls.

If you’re interested in registering for a CSI College Now class for the upcoming spring semester, stop by Ms. Chiapparelli’s Office in room A226 for an application.  Registration begins on Monday, December 3rd, at CSI.

The Lacrosse team will be meeting on Wednesday December 5th at 2:20 pm in room B242. Any boys interested in playing should attend. If you have any questions, please see Coach Meyerson.

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS TAKING THE DECEMBER 1ST SAT:

YOU MUST ARRIVE ON SATURDAY NO LATER THAN 7:45 AM. YOU WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO ENTER THE BUILDING IF YOU DON’T HAVE YOUR REGISTRATION TICKET AND PICTURE ID.  YOU WILL NEED #2 PENCILS & A CALCULATOR.  WE CANNOT SUPPLY CALCULATORS.

CELL PHONES ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THE BUILDING.  YOU WILL BE DISMISSED FROM THE EXAM IF YOU ARE FOUND USING A CELL PHONE OR ANY MOBILE DEVICE. PLEASE CHECK FOR YOUR ROOM ASSIGNMENTS IN THE MAIN LOBBY BEFORE TEST DAY.

***If you do not have an ID card or the picture is not clear, please see Mr. Marra in the Program office, Room A128, for a new ID card.  You will not be admitted to the SAT without a valid, clear, picture ID and your admission ticket.

Attention all Raider family members.  Tomorrow is our annual Holiday Basket auction in the cafeteria, hosted by our PTA.  Please consider coming by anytime between 12 and 4 pm for just $5.00, where you can take home some great prizes and gifts this holiday season.

Attention all Raider family members.  Community month is here and underway.  We have some great events and activities all month long.  We encourage you to participate in all of them.  This week we will be hosting our annual Port Richmond Lobby tree lighting as well as the VNA Tree Lighting Ceremony featuring our marching band.  Next week is giving week, so be sure to take advantage of the many community service opportunities available.  All donations may be dropped off to Mr. Medugno's Office.  Students can earn up to 10 community service hours just by participating next week.  See your calendar for details.

Attention all seniors.  Today during 4th period there will be a senior assembly followed by the 19 photo on the field.

It's that time of year again! Junior Achievement is back! If you are interested in being a role model and earning community service hours, join Junior Achievement and teach classes of elementary school students! Our first MANDATORY meeting is December 4th at 3:30 in the library. See Ms. Pollari or Ms. Sheehan for more details.

Read Alliance is Back!  Would you like to get paid to teach reading to elementary school students in our local feeder schools?  Come to our meeting 9th period in the auditorium tomorrow.  Go to readalliance.org to sign up as a tutor.

Attention seniors.  The following representatives will be visiting today to meet with students in the College Office:

  • 2nd period - Metropolitan College of New York
  • 5th period - SUNY University at Buffalo
  • 7th period - University of Hartford

Please sign up for rep visits through your Naviance accounts.  If you need a pass, please see Ms. Vassallo in the College Office Room B233.

Congratulations to all of our students who maintained Perfect Attendance in Marking Period 1.  You have received your certificates and invitations to please join us for some hot chocolate and cookies as we celebrate your achievement.  We will see you Tuesday afternoon in the Students’ Cafeteria at 2:20 pm. 

The Disney Club will meet today at 3:30 in room B319.

All students going on the Raiders Abroad trip in June will meet from 3:40-4:40 pm on Tuesday, December 4th, in room B319.
