All school library books must be returned to the school library in order to clear your library account. If there is a problem with books that you have borrowed, please come to the library and speak to Ms. Makler. The library has summer reading books that may be borrowed for the summer.

For any senior who has not applied to college and is still deciding, please attend an information session provided by CSI. It will take place tomorrow from 2:00-3:00 PM at the CSI St. George Campus 120 Stuyvesant Place, room 112. This is a great opportunity.

Any student interested in joining the cheerleading team, tryouts will be held on Monday, June 24th, at 3:30 pm in Gym 2.  Wear athletic clothing, and sneakers.  Any questions, see Coach Torres in room A123, or Coach Chiapparelli in room A226.

Attention AP students, if you are eligible for free or reduced lunch and paid the $40 exam fee you will be issued a refund. Ms. DelMastro is distributing the AP forms in your classes. You must hand your form to the College Office no later than today in order to receive your refund.

The Student Wellness Council will be meeting after school today to prepare for our upcoming events.  Please see Ms. Walters for more details. 

Attention all juniors and seniors.  There are still seats left in both zero period College Now classes.  The available classes are Business and Intro to Computer Science.  Stop by Ms. Chiapparelli’s Office in room A226 for an application!

June is PRIDE month!  The Gender Sexuality Alliance invites all Raiders to participate in tonight’s event at Pinots Palette.  See Ms. Walters in room B340 for more information. 

Attention seniors, you must complete the Senior Graduation Survey 2019 on your Naviance account. Directions have been posted on the senior Google Classroom, and there are copies in the College Office. If you need assistance, please stop by the College Office room B233. If you do not complete the survey, you will not receive your graduation tickets.

Please clear all school accounts by June 17.  If you owe anything such as books, JROTC uniforms or Marching Band uniforms your documents will be held until these items are retuned.  Thank you.


Come see the Jazz Band perform in Westerleigh Park tonight at 6:30 pm. Bring a chair and some dinner and enjoy a beautiful night in the park!


Attention students.  If you ordered eyeglasses they are in!  Please stop by the Sophomore Hub, B142, to pick them up.

Join the GSA in the Raider Café after school today to celebrate PRIDE month!  Snacks will be served!


There will be a brief meeting today for any girls interested in trying out for the girls’ bowling team.  The meeting will take place outside of Gym 2 at 2:20 pm.  Any questions, please see Ms. Salg.


On Monday June 3rd, from 12:45 - 2:30, students are encouraged to attend credit boost, lab make-up and tutoring for the science regents.  Make sure you take advantage of this opportunity to obtain the credits you need!

Attention all sophomore and juniors.  Reminder that registration for CSI’s College Now Saturday classes for the Fall Term begins on Monday, June 3rd.  See Ms. Chiapparelli in room A226 if you need an application or if you have any questions.  Also, see her if you want to sign up for a zero period College Now class.

Attention all students taking the SAT tomorrow: You must arrive on Saturday no later than 7:45 AM.  You will not be permitted to enter the building if you don’t have your printed registration ticket and photo ID.  You will need #2 pencils and a calculator.  We cannot supply calculators.  Cell phones are not permitted in the building.  You will be dismissed from the exam if you are found using a cell phone or any mobile device.  Please check for your room assignments in the main lobby before test day.  If you do not have an ID card or the picture is not clear, please see Mr. Marra in A128 for a new ID card.  You will not be admitted to the SAT without a valid, clear, picture ID and your admission ticket.  

Coach DeForest and the PRHS staff defeated the students in the annual student/faculty basketball game yesterday with a score of 66 to 64.  Justin Alexander led the staff with his stellar performance on both offense and defense, with the help of Mr. Smalls and Mr. Marinello.  The students, coached by Mr. Medugno, were led in scoring by Jahlil Ebanks, Grant Watkins, Gabrielle Campisi, Kevin Malast, Quayyum "Q" Gray and Mohammed Ali Khan.  A fun time was had by all.  Great Job everyone.

Congratulations to all of the poets that performed in yesterday’s Poetry Slam!   All did an amazing job. Special shout out to this year’s winner, Abigail Delgado.

The student-faculty basketball game will be played today at 3:00 pm in Gym 2.  Spectator tickets are $3, and student-player tickets are $5, and can be purchased at the S.O. Store.  Players must be in good academic standing in order to play.  Students will receive extra credit for physical education class.  Staff willing to participate should place their name on the sign-in sheet above the time clock.

Attention juniors.  The College of Staten Island will be here to meet with juniors on Tuesday, May 28th, during 3rd period. If you are interested in attending the information session, please sign up in the College Office by today.

Attention all Raiders: Please take advantage of our wonderful community service opportunity that will also beautify our neighborhood. Port Richmond Strong is cleaning up the train trestles every Saturday in May. See Ms. Woodman if you are interested.

Mr. Medugno in room B231 to sign up.  We are looking for student representatives to be part of school planning, events, activities and leadership roles.  The deadline to submit applications is TODAY and elections will be taking place on Friday, June 7th, in all history classes.  Good luck and we look forward to welcoming you on board.

PRHS is collecting donations for refugees and people in need.  We are collecting blankets, sheets, towels, sleeping bags, adult clothing, and shoes.  Please bring your donation to Ms. Doyle in the Main Office.


Today we host grade assemblies for grades 11 and 12. The 12th grade assembly is this period. All 12th grade teachers please escort your 12th graders to the auditorium. 11th grade assembly is 3rd period. All 11th grade teachers please escort your 11th graders to the auditorium.

Tomorrow, Friday, 9th and 10th grade assemblies will take place. The 9th grade assembly is 2nd period and the 10th grade assembly is 3rd period. 

There is a Debate Team meeting today after 8th period in room B410.

The entire Port Richmond High School community is invited to our final Spring Concert of the year tonight.  The concert begins at 7 pm, and admission is FREE!


Any student interested in joining the boys or girls’ varsity swim team must attend a mandatory meeting in room B319 today.  All returning members must attend.  See Coach Duffy for more information.
