Virtual Enterprise had a great day at the International Trade Fair yesterday and took home a silver medal for salesmanship.  Congratulations to Mr. O'Brien and the Virtual Enterprise class!

Attention sophomores, yours PSAT scores are now available on College Board. Please login to your college board account, if you do not have an account please make one to get your scores.

Hey there Sophomores! Good News!  The PRPLA application has been extended until this Sunday, April 21st. For more information, visit the Wagner Raider Center, 4th Floor room B424.

Attention sophomores and juniors.  Registration for CSI College Now’s Summer Program begins as soon as we return from spring break. If you’re interested in registering for a course, make sure to stop by Ms. Chiapparelli’s office to pick an application.

Juniors who took the March 27th SAT, your scores will be available on April 22nd through your College Board account. Please make sure to have your login information to retrieve your scores.

Attention seniors, the Excelsior Scholarship is now available. If you are going to a CUNY or SUNY, you may qualify for the scholarship. Stop by the college office for information.

Attention juniors, Arcadia University is here now and Marywood Universities will be here at 11:15 am as well. Please sign up through your Naviance account to attend the visit. If you have any questions, please stop by the College Office.

Attention all Raiders.  Councilwoman Debbie Rose and her office is providing a great way to get involved in your community, by voting on it.  Anyone 11 years or older can vote to fund projects ranging from transportation, parks and recreation, education, and more using the participatory budgeting process.  You can vote on line using the link: https://pbnyc2019.d21.me and start today.

Attention all students interested in a summer job.  The Summer Youth Employment Program applications are open.  Please see Ms. Dawn and Ms. Alison in room B144 for assistance.

Attention all Juniors, Junior Jumpstart tonight has been postponed. Please join us for our new date on Wednesday, May 1 at 7:00pm. We look forward to seeing you then!

If you are going on the Kingsborough College Trip today with Ms. Chiapparelli, make sure to go right to the auditorium after the fire drill.

The boys’ varsity baseball team improved their league record to 3-0 by defeating CSIM at home by a score of 9-0. Darren Brady, Jr. Earned his second win of the season by going the distance striking out 12 and allowing just 1 hit. The Raider offense was led by Angel Santiago, Ryan Masterson, Darren Brady Jr., Chris Maiorana, Kevin Hannah and Alex Molina who combined to score 8 runs on 5 hits. The Raiders will be back in action on Thursday at home vs. New Utrecht.

Congratulations to those of you receiving a 'Way to Go Slip' right now in second period. Your teachers notice your progress, outstanding work and improvement. Keep it up!

Today the College Office will be hosting a Junior Jumpstart Night at 6:00 pm in the auditorium. The college application process will be presented in detail as well as other important information. All juniors and their families should attend.

Today, is Harry Potter Day in the PRHS Library.  Come to the library periods (4,5,6, &7) on today to discuss Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone; the first book in the Harry Potter series, at the monthly Book Club meeting.  If you have read it before, and loved it, and want to talk about it, please come and share, discuss, and have cookies.  If you act fast, and haven’t yet read the book, there are still books available in the library.  You don’t have to finish the book by today, but the more you’ve read the better!  Participating in the Book Club may also bring extra credit in your English class.

The boys’ varsity baseball team improved their league record to 2-0 by defeating CSIM by a score of 11-1. Angel Santiago worked 5 solid innings for the win allowing 1 run on 3 hits while striking out 10. Ryan Masterson had a big day at the plate with 4 hits and 3 rbis. While Angel Santiago, Darren Brady, Jr. and Chris Maiorana all had rbi hits in a big 7 run third inning that broke the game open. The Raiders will be back in action on Tuesday, April 2nd, vs. CSIM.

The boys’ Lacrosse team improved their record to 2-0 with a 12-2 win over Murray Bergtrum.  Tyler Anderson had 4 goals to lead the offense.  Max Cuba added 3 more and Brandon Bevanti, Steven Guzman, and Peter Zelaya totaled another 5.  Come support the Lacrosse team on Tuesday as they take on Madison at 4:00 pm

 Hey Sophomores!   The PRPLA Program is now accepting applications to become a member. The PRPLA Program is a College Readiness Program that offers a 2- Week Stay at Wagner College, Scholarship Research, College Trips, Mentors and more. To apply visit the Wagner Raider Center on the 4th floor- Room B424!

Today is the very last day to submit your signed trip slips to Ms. Chiapparelli for the Kingsborough College trip.  Make sure to return them by the end of the day today with your parent’s signature and all required teacher signatures.

Shout out to Gateway Sophomore Anna Nicole Dagdagan who this Friday will be traveling to Albany for the Science Technology Entry Program Conference as the Student Ambassador representing all New York City high schools.  Best of this weekend, Anna Nicole!

Attention all students.  Today we will have two Mock Regents exams in Algebra and Global History.  As a result, all 9th period classes have been canceled. Global History proctors please report to Ms. Pollari’s Office in room A420, and Algebra proctors place report to your assigned classrooms.

Attention al students going o the Roudabout trip to Kiss Me, Kate on Wednesday, April 34d.  Permission slips are due to Ms. DiPalma in room B332 tomorrow, Friday, March 29th.  Se Ms. DiPalma in room B332, or Ms. Lopes in room A220 with any questions.

The boys’ varsity baseball team opened up the regular season with an 11-0 win at home vs. Petrides in the PSAL League opener for both teams. Darren Brady Jr. Worked 6 innings for the win allowing 3 hits to go along with 12 strikeouts. Angel Santiago led the Raider offense with 2 hits, 2rbi's, and 4 runs scored. Chris Maiorana and Darren Brady Jr. also added 2 hits and 2 rbi's each to break open a 3-0 game in the 5th inning.  The Raiders will be back in action on today @ 4:00 pm vs. CSIM.

Attention Freshmen.  If you are interested in going on the Kingsborough Community College trip, reminder the trips slips are due back to Ms. Chiapparelli today.

Teachers be reminded to set your classrooms up in rows for the PSAT/SAT tomorrow. Every classroom is being used.

The Student Wellness Council will be meeting today during 4th and 5th periods in room B355.  Please see Ms. Walters if you have any questions.  Lunch will be provided. 

Attention National Honor Society seniors, please let Mrs. DelMastro know the name of the college you will attend and the scholarship money you received by Thursday in order for it to be announced at the national honor society ceremony.

Attention all 2nd period teachers.  As a result of ATS being down, the blue daily attendance sheets were not generated.  Please take attendance on your weekly bubble sheets, and when ATS is up and working, we will transfer the attendance.  Thank you. 

The National Honor Society will resent the Murder of Julius Caesar tomorrow at 2:30 pm in Stairwell J.  All students who love drama and Shakespeare are invited to attend.

 Any students who missed the Raiders Abroad meeting on Sunday should report to B319, today at 2:15.  Miss Duffy will briefly go over what you missed and help you with paperwork.  Attendance is mandatory.
