Applications for the NHS are due today.  Place all completed applications in the mailbox in room B311. 

 

Attention Seniors, the Staten Island Federation of PTA scholarship is now available in the College Office. This is a $2,000 scholarship based on an essay or art submission. Please stop by B233 for an application.

 

There will be a meeting for members of the JV baseball team today after 9th period in room B440 at 3:30. Anyone who is interested in joining is welcome to participate.

 

Anyone interested in participating in the talent show the deadline for auditions are today. Any questions see Agent Lighty.

 

Any senior student pursing an engineering degree, please stop by the College Office for a scholarship.

Flag football tryouts will be today at 4:30 pm in Gym 4 and also, tomorrow, February 13th, at 4:30 pm in Gym 4. 

The Anime Club will NOT meet this week. 

There will be a mandatory meeting of all potential members of the National Honor Society, and a meeting for all current members of the NHS at 2:20 pm in the library.  Again, all current and prospective members of the NHS must attend.

The College Office will be hosting a FAFSA Workshop on Wednesday from 3:00 -7:00 pm for any seniors who have not completed their application. You must register for a time slot with the College Office.

The Ladders for Leaders 2019 Program will be a 6-week long internship, from July 8th - August 16th.  Each intern can work up to 25 hours per week.  Minimum wage is $15.00 per hour.  We have partnered with businesses in various fields, such as technology, media, entertainment, journalism, marketing, business, etc.  If you are interested, please go to the UAU Office in room B144 or the College Office in room B233.

 

Attention all students and staff!  Flowers are currently on sale for Valentine’s Day in support of the AVID Program.   You can pre-order a flower and have it delivered to a special someone on Valentine's Day, February 14th.  If you are interested in purchasing a flower, please see Ms. Ross in B309 or go to the SO Store as soon as possible before they sell out.  Flowers are $2 each.

The model NYC applications are due on Wednesday, February 13th.  If you are interested in this amazing opportunity to help pass legislation on an important agenda and have your voice heard, see Ms. Chiapparelli in A226 for an application.

Any Sophomores interested in going to see “The Prom” on Wednesday, February 13th, at 8:00 pm. See Ms. Lopes in room A220 for more information. Tickets are $10 dollars each.

 

PRHS’ GSA meets every Friday after 8th and 0th periods in room B340.  Join us this week as we celebrate “Heart Month,” and will be learning about healthy relationships.  See Ms. Walter for details.

There’s a meeting for anyone interested in joining the Port Richmond Co-Ed Golf team is Monday, February 11th, at 2:20 pm in the room A320. No experience is necessary. See Coach Mulvey with any questions.

 

Science alliance will be meeting this Friday after 9th period in room B415

 

All students should come down during their lunch period to get their metro card. If you don’t have a lunch period come down 1st & 2nd with a pass.

 

Are you interested in learning more about LEGO robotics, 3D printing, laser engraving, woodworking, stained glass, t-shirt design or gaming? STOP into the maker lab in room B358 everyday beginning period 4.

 

Any student in grade 9-12 who are interested in a STEM internship over Spring Break, please stop by the College Office for information.

 

Attention seniors.  Please stop by the College Office for The O'Keefe Foundation Scholarship. This is a scholarship for a student who is an immigrant, or child of an immigrant, or a student who has lost a parent due to an act of violence. 

Attention all students.  Tickets for the Valentine’s Day Dance are now on sale in the S.O. Store for $10.00.  Students are allowed one outside guest with a valid student ID. The dance is on Friday, February 8th, from 7:00 – 11:00 in the cafeteria.  We hope to see you there.
